BigCat Contracts have delivered several river restoration projects to help improve and sustain local biodiversity using a range of sustainable methods which are environmentally sympathetic and approved by local statutory authorities and fishery boards.

We have experience in the installation of Large Wood Structures (LWS)both in-river works and on the flood plain. River embankment repairs using Root Wads and rock armour. We have also constructed sections of new meandering river channel to help reduce flow rates and improve wetland habitat.
